We love this new book from Thomas Knauer and his quilt work using our Essex Linen, including the cover quilt of Modern Quilt Perspectives (KP Craft, 2014). We liked it so much we wanted give away both the book and enough linen to make the "You Are Here" quilt for one lucky fan.
With more than 200 entries, with many of you eager to give quilting with linens a first try, we were happy to let Random.org pick a winner for us:
Special thanks to Thomas Knauer for donating a copy of his book for the prize and to everyone who left a comment. It's great to see all the excitement about quilting with linens and we hope you will give it a try, too!
Welcome to our stop on the Modern Quilt Perspectives blog tour! This month, KP Craft has released Thomas Knauer's first quilting book Modern Quilt Perspectives: 12 Patterns for Meaningful Quilts, a collection of patterns and essays with a wonderful introduction to the tools of the trade.
In case you missed it, be sure to read Thomas' post about the book, how it came to be with the help of many, especially the quilter extraordinaire Lisa Sipes. Check out her amazing quilting in her post about Modern Quilt Perspectives yesterday.Read More

In 2014 we will add another 29 colors, offering up a staggering 300 colors ofKona Cotton Solids.

One of the things I really love about quilting is the longevity of patterns and how they can be modified to reflect your own personal tastes.
