Modern Take on Retro Christmas

Have you seen Cynthia Frenette's Retro Christmas collection? With a fun, mid-century modern flair, the fabric is in stores now and perfect for holiday projects. Cynthia finished hers with plenty of time to spare.

Made entirely with English paper-piecing, Cynthia used Brioni Greenberg's Heaven and Hex pattern. If you're feeling brave enough to tackle it, you can find in Fat Quarterly, issue 13.

After all that handwork, Cynthia took it to the machine to quilt, using Aurifil 50wt. thread in Turquoise (5005) and stitching it so that it ends up with circles and flowers.

Beautiful, right? And finished with time to spare!  For more on her quilt-making process, check out Cynthia's blog: http://cynthiaf.ca
