Working with Cotton Lawns

Since launching our first collection of London Calling cotton lawn back in 2008, we have continued to develop new designs and new collections using this versatile fabric.

Lawn is typically made from cotton now and the high fine count gives a silky, smooth feel to the fabric. It is lightweight and drapes well making it a wonderful choice for apparel fabric. With slightly more body than voile, it can be easier to sew with.

We recently released even more designs in cotton lawn with our Lennox Gardens collection.

These twelve new fabrics are perfect for blouses, dresses, curtains and more. And with its crisp finish, it's a breeze to sew!  For our recent visit to the LA Textile Show, we had several items made using the London Calling and Cotton Lawn.

From Left to Right: ICE CREAM DRESS BY OLIVER + S (LONDON CALLING AND CAMBRIDGE), VINTAGE BUTTERICK PATTERN (LONDON CALLING AND CAMBRIDGE), EMERY DRESS BY CHRISTINE HAYNES (LONDON CALLING).
