QuiltCon 2013!

The Modern Quilt Guild Presents QuiltCon 2013 in Austin, Texas, The First International Modern Quilting Conference and Show with Keynote Speaker Denyse Schmidt.

Mark your calendars! This first-of-its-kind convention will be held on February 21-24, 2013 at the Austin Convention Center and will feature an awesome array of events that are sure to attract quilting enthusiasts from around the globe. Attendees will get to experience a modern quilt show (with cash prizes), vendors, lectures, and workshops from top quilters including Denyse Schmidt, Malka Dubrawsky, Elizabeth Hartman, Anna Maria Horner, Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr.

With QuiltCon, the members of the Modern Quilt Guild will put their bold, colorful style on display for fans of sophisticated modern design. "We hope our conference attendees can learn new techniques and strengthen their quilting skills with the most influential and recognized modern quilters in the world," said Alissa Haight Carlton, Founder and President of the Modern Quilt Guild.

And Robert Kaufman Fabrics is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring this ground-breaking event! "Robert Kaufman Fabrics is beyond thrilled to help the Modern Quilt Guild present the premiere modern quilting show," said our Director of Strategic Marketing, Kyle Sanchez. "The modern quilt community is so immensely talented and utterly inspiring, not to mention, it includes some of our favorite people! We simply can't wait to have them all together in celebration of the art they create – dazzling quilts, amazing people, sharing, invigorating, rubbing elbows and just having fun! Is it next February yet?"
