Crushed Diamonds Quilt Tutorial

Hi Everyone!!
My name is KarrieLyne from Freckled Whimsy and I am sooo excited to be here and bring you my first tutorial using Robert Kaufman fabrics!

I first heard of Kona Crush from Julie over at Jaybird Quilts, so of course I inquired about it and started putting some ideas together.

I cannot express enough how amazing this fabric is! It's a tad heavier than the Kona Cotton fabrics and it's all crinkly! I love the depth and dimension it gives to a quilt. It's almost feels like suede and it just glides through your machine!

I know, with out a doubt, I will be sewing with this fabric in multiple future projects!!

Now, if they only sold it in all the same colors as Kona Cotton! *wink*wink* :)

I've put together a quilt pattern and tutorial for all of you using this wonderful fabric! Personally, I think it is a very dramatic effect, but so simple to piece together.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial, and if you make this quilt, I'd love to see your version! Oh, and if you have ANY questions, please feel free to email me HERE

Much Love!!!
KarrieLyne

Great pattern, it's everything I love about quilting. I'm going to have to go find and touch some of that fabric though!

Great quilt! It would be a good one for my teenage son. I'm going to have to see this "Crush" fabric I keep hearing about!

I've just added five colors of Crush to my solid collection, so this is just perfect for me to try out. It already feels wonderful to me without even working on it.

Yes, more colors......more colors......*S*

that is gorgeous, love the solid colors, very striking. i love that quilters are using straight lines to quilt. it is so effective and it is something easily done vs. sending to a longarm quilter.

This is a beautiful quilt. I like the simplicity. I was surprised when I saw how it was pieced together. It seems like it would have been much easier to strip piece. I wonder what's the advantage of piecing it this way.

Clever girl! Simple but dramatic, doesn't get any better :-)

I love this quilt! It has such a stark, bold simplicity--almost Amish in its coloring. It looks like it would also be a great scrappy quilt pattern. Well done!

I love the quilt and you did a great job with the article! The simplicity of color and pattern remind me of an Amish style, which are my 'first love' and the quilting is outstanding as well, what a treasure!

OMG, the shoes are so perfect on you and I’m just dying for them. You have such an amazing collection of shoes. Where do you often buy these shoes? Do you like shopping online? Can you give us some advice on-Nubeo copy watcheshow to choose suitable and trendy heels? Thanks a lot.
